President Jokowi said he would re-open tourism in Bali if the Covid-19 case on the island of the gods decreases, or even disappears.
This was conveyed by the President while reviewing the vaccination activities in Gianyar, Bali, Tuesday (16/3/2021).
“If later it appears that the spread of Covid-19 slopes, decreases, then disappears, with the stages that will be designed from both the province, district, city, and center, we will start one by one opening in the economy, especially the tourism sector in Bali, to return to the normal position, “Jokowi said as quoted from the Presidential Secretariat YouTube account, Tuesday.
However, Jokowi said that the current condition of Covid-19 in Bali is still needed a process to return to normal. “But now we have to talk what it is. It still takes steps to lead to a normal situation and we hope that we are still in a vigilant position,” said Jokowi.
President Joko Widodo left for Bali for a working visit, Tuesday (16/3/2021). Jokowi will review the implementation of mass vaccinations for tourism industry players.
The President and his limited entourage took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, at around 08.30 WIB on the Indonesian Presidential Airplane-1.
According to the plan, Jokowi will review the implementation of vaccinations in two locations, namely in Gianyar Regency and Denpasar City.
Mass vaccination is not only held for tourism industry players, but also religious leaders, cultural representatives, youth representatives, and local communities.
When reviewing vaccinations, Jokowi was accompanied by Bali Governor I Wayan Koster.
