On Friday (21/5), the number of residents who participated in the mass vaccination reached 3,000 people. While waiting to be vaccinated, residents who were sitting in line suddenly stood up and immediately gave a positive response and thanked the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster while observing the mass vaccinations at the Hongkong Garden Restaurant.

Accompanied by the Mayor of Denpasar, I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara, and Chairman of the Bali Chinese Indonesian Association (INTI), Sudiarta Indrajaya, the Governor of Koster immediately greeted residents with strict health protocols (Prokes). He invited residents to always use masks during the vaccination process.

On this occasion, the number one person in the Bali Provincial Government said that he deliberately conducted a review of this mass vaccination activity, after carrying out prayers at the Penataran Agung Besakih Temple, Karangasem. So that we know firsthand the implementation of this mass vaccination with the hope that it will run smoothly.

“I just finished praying at the Penataran Agung Besakih Temple to ask for prayers and guidance so that Jagat and Krama Bali are safe, healthy, comfortable, safe, and peaceful. Also, ask for prayers so that the COVID-19 pandemic can be handled properly so that tourism and the economy of Bali can revive. Therefore, I must ensure that the mass vaccination activities in Bali, especially in Denpasar, run smoothly, “he explained.

On this occasion, the Governor of Bali said that on May 20, 2021, Bali again received an additional vaccine allocation from the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. The total number of vaccines received reached 2,318,580 doses from the target of 6,000,000 doses (38.3%).

“I give priority to vaccines for Denpasar and Badung with the highest allocation, namely Denpasar with 467,808 doses; Badung 465,100 doses; Gianyar 233,200 doses; Buleleng 188,240 doses; Karangasem 169,000 doses; Tabanan 142,700 doses; Jembrana 116,120 doses; Klungkung 105,700 doses; Bangli 82,480 doses; and Bali Province as many as 348,232 doses, “he explained.

Furthermore, the Governor of Koster who is an ITB graduate said that until now the vaccination activity on the island of Bali is still ongoing, targeting community groups including the elderly, public servants (security officers, government employees, transportation officers, tourism actors, supermarkets, market traders. , Educators, Ngurah Rai Airport Staff, Port Employees, Banking Employees, Religious Figures, People’s Representatives, State Officials, Athletes, and Journalists, ed) to Urban Communities. “Achieving the vaccination target depends on the number of vaccines allocated by the central government for Bali, given its limited availability.

For this reason, I am working hard so that Bali gets a sufficient allocation to accelerate the formation of community immunity to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This achievement is very important to build public trust in the framework of economic recovery and tourism in Bali, “he explained.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Indonesian Chinese Association (INTI) Bali, Sudiarta Indrajaya, on the occasion expressed his gratitude to the Governor of Koster.
